A NEW HOPE

Half a Century ago, avowed atheist Bertrand Russell, pessimistically noted the futility of Life in such a world, as science presents to modern man.  He said: No matter how noble your purposes and high your ideals, all are doomed to death, in the ultimate death of the whole Universe.”  Then he proposed a Philosophy of despair.  He said:  only upon a foundation of despair, can we hope to build our life in this world.   Is that true?  If it is:  How sad, that this so-called, most enlightened, generation in History, has become the most imprisoned.

The Bible tells us, that centuries before Christ was born, Job, asked the age-old question:  If a man die, shall he live again?”  Science or superstition, intellectualism or ignorance, antagonism or Agnosticism, all cry out with the same note of despair.  Is there no Hope?” But out of the depths’ of despair, and futility, God lifted Job, to the heights of faith.  Even is this day Job was able to see, that in Christ Jesus, there is Everlasting Life.  It was such a tremendous Revelation, that it sent the Hallelujah ringing throughout Job’s soul;  and these Hallelujah’s have re-verberated, right down through the centuries, to our despairing generation.

Job said: I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He shall stand at the Latter day upon the earth, and though after my skin, worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh, shall I see God.  I have heard that shout reverberating, throughout my own soul, again and again, as I have stood many many times, at the edge of some grave side, where some dear saint of God has been laid to rest.  I have said within myself.  “Not the grave but the sky, the sky, is our goal.”  One day every person who has lived for Jesus Christ down here, and been laughed at by so many, for their Christian standards, and holy living, shall rise to meet the Lord, on resurrection morning.  My friends, if you have never given your life to Christ, do so today.  Ask Jesus to come into your heart, and take your sins away.  And you to, like every other born again Christian, will be able to look death, and the grave, squarely in the eye, and say:  O death where is they sting, O grave where is thy victory!”

To those who never have accepted Christ into their heart by faith, and have no hope beyond this valley of tears, death is something from which to shrink, it is a leap out into the dark, the unknown.

Naturally speaking, death is the end of life, the end of earthly activity, the end of your plans, the putting out of the lights, and entering into a heavy darkness.  But to the person, who has accepted Chris as their own personal savior, I is but entering into the light, God’s eternal Light, for God is Light.

Today, Psychologists, are increasingly rejecting Freud’s views, and recognizing the Bible’s view; that the fear of death, and not sex, is the predominant cause of the psychological sicknesses of our society.

But what is it that makes death.  The King of terrors and the terror of Kings: The Bible says it is “SIN”.      The sting of death is SIN”  If you have never sinned, you would not be afraid to die, and you would not be afraid to stand before God in the Judgment.  But it is because you have sinned, that you are afraid. And that is the very reason, why you must come to Christ and be saved, be Born Again, for He, and He alone can take away our sins.

Science cannot save us, and superstition is escapism, The Holy Bible tells us all, that the Blood of Jesus Christ, God’s son, cleanses us from all sin”, and nothing else will do it.

That is why Jesus Christ came to this earth,  This is what Christianity is all about.  Christ came into this world to save us from our terrible sins, and from the fear and power of death.  Hebrews 2: 14 & 15  says: “That through death, He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil, and deliver him that who, through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

Christ conquered sin and death on the cross of Calvary, and so can you, by accepting Him as your Savior.  His Victory then becomes your victory.  Fall at His feet today, and acknowledge Him as your Savior.  He is Mankind’s only Savior, and you’re only Savior.

You may be dead in trespasses and sins, and afraid of death, but in Christ Jesus there is Everlasting Peace and Life for you.  Get somewhere alone with God today; Bow your head in prayer and settle this matter of your s souls Salvation once and for all.  Ask Christ to come into your heart, and become your personal Savior from sin.

If you do so, with all sincerity, I promise you, like Job of old you will be able to say:  “I know that my Redeemer lives,” for He will live in your heart.

He is only a Prayer Away.

 Be Blessed:
