What Would The Discovery of Noah’s Ark Mean To The World?

For half a century the quest for Noah’s Ark has piqued the interest of millions of Bible believers.  We have all heard the stories of Russian, French, British and American explorers who said they have seen portions of the ark and have retrieved some of its wooden timbers.  Satellite pictures seem to show its vertical and horizontal beams. However, to date, the world’s oldest known boat has not captured the imagination of the world. . But what if that “Voila!” moment came and the world’s smartest archaeologists, geologists, glaciologists, and forensic scientists could stand on top of the 440 feet long, 73 feet wide, and 43 feet high vessel and say to the entire world, “There she is, Noah’s Ark!”

Despite an archaeological find, as great as that as the Dead Sea Scrolls; barking, biting, snapping, foaming at the mouth contrarian Thomas H. Huxleys that will come out of their caves howling like bats out of hell. But nonetheless it will tell those who believe the Bible and those who are genuinely searching for the truth,

1.  That there was such a thing as the flood.                                                           2.  That the Bible is a reliable historical book.                                                       3.  That the prophecies of the Bible are true.                                                         4.  That what Jesus said about the ark was true (Matt 24:31-39).                     5.  That God is a God of  judgment as well as salvation.                                     6.  That Gods patience with sin is not limitless.

But like a national catastrophe its chilling effect will be shallow and soon diminish.  In the long run it will deepen the commitment of those who are already committed.  Shortly after the earth-shaking Flood men tried to build a city without God, the Tower of Babel. After Israel crossed the Red Sea dry-shod, the Egyptians did not turn to God but back to their dead gods. After the Red Sea, after Mount Sinai many Israelites danced around the golden calf.  After entering the Promised Land the Israelites ended up in Babylonian captivity.  After Jesus rose from the dead most did not believe. After the Church is raptured most will not believe. After the Millennial reign of Christ many will rebel against his godly rule (Revelation 20:7-10).

The discovery of Noah’s Ark   will not change the thinking of millions who don’t want to change their life style. In their mushy brain s they will explain it all away.
~The story of the Noah’s Ark reveals to us reality and the awfulness of sin in God’s eyes.

~It is also a reminder to All Believers that in the end “We Win!”

~I’ve read the closing chapters of the greatest prophecy yet to be fulfilled

~ Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
