The following is a fascinating story, an interesting factoid that few of us know. It’s brief and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
As a Christian I’m sure you believe that the God of creation is bigger than your little 2×4 mushy brain can ever conceive of.
Our awesome God spoke this planet, this constellation, this galaxy, this ever expanding universe, as well as time and space, into existence. He breathed into you the breath of life. He is so measureless that the Bible says. “The heaven of heavens cannot contain Him.” However, while He is big enough to fill the mighty universe, He is small enough to dwell within your heart. The Psalmist speaking of our bodies’ millennia ago said, “We are fearfully and wonderfully made.” When you look at the world above you and the world around you and the world within you; as a Christian you wonder how anybody in their right mind could deny His existense.
But here is the kicker: Laminin
Here is how Wikipedia describes them: “Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue.” You see, Laminins are what hold us together… Literally. They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what hold one cell of our bodies to the next cell. Without them, we would literally fall apart. Like apples’ falling from a tree we would fall in pieces But what perhaps don’t know is what they LOOK LIKE, their structure.
And This Is Not a ‘Christian portrayal’ of it…. If you look up laminin in any scientific/medical piece of literature, this is what you will see….
Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!! Awesome, Ahhh-maazing! The glue that holds us together…. ALL of us….. Is in the shape of the cross. Immediately Colossians 1:16-17 comes to mind. “For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him,” And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).(Amplified Bible)
Silly me. I just think that is so amazing, so very, very, very cool. Thousands of years before the world knew anything about laminin, Paul penned those words. And now we see that from a very LITERAL standpoint, we are held together… One cell to another…. By the cross.
You would never in a quadrillion years convince me that is anything other than the mark of a Creator who knew EXACTLY what laminin ‘glue’ would look like long before Adam breathed his first breath!!
This is what you find when you goggle “Laminin ” !!!!!!!!!!!
I put on view this swinging Cross because it illustrates that our God is an awesome God, and therefore you can expect miracles in your life He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He changes Not!”
This is just one of a multitude of examples to show that you can expect miracles in your life because you are a miracle, “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
